Buddhist Association

The Buddhist Association of Royal College was founded at the very beginning. At present, various religious activities are conducted by this association. Every year this association gives alms to the Elders’ Home, Horana. Every year it conducts "Sil" campaign on the Esalla Full moon day. "Daham" thoughts are presented after religious observances every morning.

"Sasthri" Children’s society

It was started on October, 1997. The main purpose of this society is to inculcate brotherhood, unity, unselfishness and good virtues in child’s minds.

Scout Society

It was started in 1979. Mrs. Sheela Karunarathne took the initiative for this. The main purpose of this campaign is to make the students good citizens who can do their work their work by themselves with self confidence, loyalty and courage.

Success and milestones

Representing the 6th National Jamboree in 1996 in Sri Lanka.

Won the awards for the best sub campaign which was held in 1997 at the provincial rally.

Won the award for the best "Log Book" in1999 at the provincial rally.

Make a way to the top of the Pahiyangala Rock temple.

Participate in the campfire, forest camp and excavation.

The society of Road Safety

It was started in 1986. The purpose of this society is to help the students to cross the Panadura-Ratnapura main road safely. The Sri Lanka Police Department gives instructions how to use the highway safely and avoid road accidents.

The project of"Osu Uyana"

It was launched in 1997. The purpose of this project is to make the pupils aware of the herbal plants and encourage them in developing this project. This project is conducted by the student of Royal College successfully.
